Default Old Hen Long Radio source

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get my hands on one of the old crystal Hen Long radios?
I seem have to "misplaced" the one for my daughters Pershing in the last move, 5 years ago...

I might have one, I can check when I get home, but I'm really curious as to why you don't just put a better board in it? I have plenty of videos for putting the new V3 mfu in these tanks, I even put one in my Pershing. The new electronics are just light years better than the old eye poker antenna stuff, and you can get the whole system for about 60 or $70.

My daughter built this tank about 10 years ago and it's running HL with a DBC. She used it for local club battles and a couple of trips to Danville.
She is all grown up and moved out now and was wanting her tank to show her friends. She doesn't really need an upgrade, but if she did I have plenty of Tamiya and El Mod electronics laying around.
This is a pure nostalgia thing. If you find one I'll gladly buy it from you.

Do you need the whole system? TX, the RX, and the MFU?
And I thought with the bark don't you use a hobby grade transmitter?

I only need the radio, she had the original DBC HL that works with the stock HL electronics and radio. The DBC RC2HL used a hobby grade radio.

Okay, I checked and I'm sorry to say that the radio I was thinking of is their first 2.4 ghz. I don't have any of the 27 megahertz stuff left. Sorry.

Of course, you could always do your daughter a favor and put one of those elmods in there. I'm sure she'd approve.

If you want to go cheap I can send you a taigen V1 TX and mfu for postage plus say, 5 bucks? A medium flat-rate box is 15 bucks to anyplace with a zip code. You wouldn't be able to battle it, but it would run and sound okay.

Did you see this?

There's a bunch more videos of this project at the same channel if you need them. Sounds like your skill set is good if you were in on Dan's first BARC, but you might find it amusing.

I have these two. The all black one has a crystal, it's channel 03 and I have the 03 crystal for the tank too It's dusty, but never used.

The chrome one is the older A, B, C, system, I think it worked with the RX-13 board.

What version do you need?
