Anybody own these tanks?
Hobbico 1/35 R/C Combat Armor Tank Set (2)
This is a pair of 1/35 scale electric powered, radio controlled Hobbico Combat Armor Tanks.
FEATURES: An Interactive Battle system on each tank allows user to shoot a beam of infrared light as the cannon roars, the muzzle flashes and the tank rocks back on its treads, the target is a sensor located on top of the opposing tank's turret that stops the tank when hit, three hits on the sensor will disable the tank for a period of five seconds before being able to be restarted from the controller Tanks start up with a push of a button on the transmitter which controls a motor for each track that allows for forward, reverse, left, right, and even 360 degree pivot turns Tanks are scale replicas of the German King Tiger and include details such as correct tool locations, markings, insignia, and camouflage patterns Two different radio frequencies allow tanks to be operated at the same time
INCLUDES: Two Hobbico Combat Armor Tanks with one 27MHz and one 49MHz transmitter
REQUIRES: Six AAA batteries for transmitter, use 1 FUGP7404 and 1 FUGP7400 One 9V alkaline battery for each tank use 2 FUGP7600
SPECS: Length: 8" (203mm) Width: 4" (102mm) Height: 3-1/2" (89mm)
not a bad scale to own for the size..

RE: Hobbico King Tiger battletanks
Had them they look good but they stink get 2 VS IR tanks they are much better the hobbico is a knock off from some china brand that makes these tanks for hobbico...They only have 1 speed super slow push both sticks and it goes farward push em back they go backwards opposit the sping one side they turn... cheezy controles.
VS 1/24 IR's are the way to go for IR battle at a great price.

RE: Hobbico King Tiger battletanks
Avoid them!![:@] They're a knock of Doyusha's 1/35 King Tiger. I was very disappointed. One tank only has a radio range of two feet! The other about 10 feet. No remote turret reverse and gun elevation. No suspension. Sound effects are only engine start-up, engine shut down, and cannon. The tank does a little "Cha-Cha" when hit by the IR beam. It looks silly, shaking left and right a few times.

RE: Hobbico King Tiger battletanks
I stopped at one of our local hobby shops today and found these tanks, took it down and looked them over, they look very nice and not too cheap however at $100 even that was way too much to spend on this "toy tank" set.. I did find them for around $68 online..
