Default RE: sexton

here is a few pics of the universal hull that fits all my sherman tanks I just finished this one this week as I wanted a universal hull so i could change upper hulls at any time with my 5 other shermans Thats what i like about the tamiya electrics one setup will fit all sherman units as I use the pershing DMD and MFU more realistic sound and the use of recoil

I have made a upper deck that hold the radio reciever and power switch and keeps it away from motors and keeps thing nice and neat and is easy to remove just slide it back and every thing is exposed for working on it

What a beautiful job - that is the cleanest electronics installation in a Sherman hull I have ever seen. And, even though I saw your transmission mod and 3-piece cover quite some time back; I continue to drool over how well you brought it all together. I would love to copy your work, but I think that my "tinkering abilities" would not be up to the task of your "machining skills" needed for the work. Thank you for sharing your work, though - definately an inspiration to all of us!

These look great-I'm a sherman fan myself and I've been wondering how to get the old three-piece ranny cover. So what are these "TamToy" gearboxes this thread mentions?

instead of starting a new thread I thought I would give you sherman and pershing guys a tip on making windows on the turret hatch so easy it will tickle your fancy
just go and buy a bottle of this stuff in the pic apply a thick layer aroung each opening the roll a toothpick across till you get a white even film and let dry and your windows are done it dry's cristal clear

and after 6 hours to dry thorough here is a pic clear windows

Those Pershing outdrives will make for spectacular performance, you won't be disppointed.

Definately the way to go for gear reduction IMO, especially when actually part of the model!
