HPI is releasing the Hellfire SS packaged with the standard K4.6 engine at roughly $550.0 , so the price of the full on kit presumably had to come down some. The current price is still extremely low, since a K4.6 doesn't cost $300.00. I would assume this is a tactic to move the product a bit more. A company like HPI can take a small dent in profits for a short time, but I doubt this price will stay around for too long.

No typo, it's the real deal. On the other hand, if they did try to claim they made a mistake, I would hold them to it. For what is in that kit, the price is pretty much criminal.

Gentlemen
I have Hellfire kit version. Ran it with an OS .30, Axial .32 and now a Ninja .28. Clutch bell 17T with stock spur (52T)--- I am looking for more top end speed. My buddies' Jammin rtr truggy (stock) competes very well.
Suggestions please.

The 17t clutch bell may be the issue. Even though those are large engines, you can easily kill the bottom end with too tall gearing. Do you lack punch coming out of the corners, or is it loosing steam at higher rpm's?

AWE, COME ON! I got hosed! I'd have grabbed one for sure for 249 to the door. Guess i'll spend $ else where. Tower is bad for me anyway because i have to pay tax for living in the same state (making myself feel better). Are any other hobby shops out there getting on the price cut band wagon??

Even if i could drive there an get it (2.5 hours) i would have to pay 8% sales tax. You ppl not in IL don't pay any tax when you buy from another state.

I wish I could find a Big Dealer like Tower in another state that had that fist deal going where it was 249 to the door!

Its strange that you cant buy a product direct from the ware house of towerhobbies, they should have like a hobbyshop in there, it would be awesome
