Great news on the maiden.
I'm still working away on mine. Need to install retracts. Have to order some new servos and receiver since the one I was going to use shot the bucket. Spring is in the air and I hope so will this plane.

RE: I Saw it! TF 60 Size Corsair ARF!!!!!
Heres a little teaser vid a friend shot.
Dont mind the engine sounding a little off. It needed a valve adjustment thats since been fixed. Flies great and scale like with an OS 91 surpass and 14x7 3 blade.

Belated congrats on your maiden. Mine looks to be held up for the duration of the summer due to keeping other planes in flying condition and yard work

I had mine ready for debut at our clubs warbird show, but a week of high winds prevented my maiden. Hope u can get your bird flying soon.

I'd love to go with Sierra, but I'm already over ye budget on this project. So its the old 615's that I bought used for $20, rebuild for another $30, and worked pretty well in two other planes. If I had to buy new, I would go Sierra.

Hiya Pete !! How have you been?
I have a set of CJ's rotating retracts and I held them over the area to where they would mount but it looked like the wing spar would have to be butchered up a good bit to allow the air cyl to drop in and fit. The existing bay to where they mount would also have to be extended lengthwise toard the leading edge too. It could be done but would take some effort. I also have a new never use set of Rhom retracts and due to their short air cylinder design, they will basically drop right in, so that what my plan is, to go with the Rhoms.

I really am not one to have good luck with ARFs. When installing the left retract, per the instructions, step by step, using the included screws, pre-drilling, one of the rails split completely in two. So now I have to surgically remove the rail. Upon looking at the quality of wood they used on these rails, which is some sort of ply with the grain going along the length of the rail, I am going to removal all of them and replace them with maple. Its going to be quite a surgery since these rails have to be true and level in order for the retracts to work properly.
No one else who is building this kit with retracts had this problem? I chalk it up to more bad jue jue I have had with this ARF. I am not complaining though, because at least I didn't have to build and sheet that gull wing.
