If you have not bought them yet DO NOT get the Robart Electric Rotating retract. I have a set and they are junk. Had to re-engineer were they kind of work. I've related my experience on a thread but don't remember which one.

Here is the link Robart Electric Retracts Update The E-Flie 60-120 rotating retracts seem to be ok. They are only 95 degrees but better than 90 degrees.

well I finally have the cowl mounted, took like 4 times to get it right. I lengthened the mounts to give a little more support. They are rounded to the cowl radius to eliminate fatigue cracks from the square mounts. After they have been fuel proofed, they get a 1/8th inch layer of black rtv to space the cowl out, and reduce vibration. The plastic spacers provided aren't used.
On the tail gear hatch, I didn't like the screws so I added a couple lightweight pegs to the front of the hatch, and a couple side pieces to hold the sides in, and the very rear will have a small magnet embedded in the tail cone block. Its a tight fit already so it wont be a problem. I also couldn't deal with the tail block square-ness....had to round it off. It isn't finished yet, but it will look good when it is. will keep yall posted if interested in the progress. Probly buying the eflite 95 degree units... haven't decided.

well its all done, flew it yesterday although I couldn't get any pics, the one guy could only do what he did, and at least I have a couple. The Eflight retracts are great! I love em!! Rough field too! The plane is 10 lbs as shown on my crude fishing scale, and flys as such, and rock solid. Tight slow loops had no tip stall whatsoever.. Super sensitive at manuals balance point, but flys on rails. Hauls ass with a super tiger 61. 12 6 prop. Love it!
Now to make some gear doors

Big,
Looking good! Post up a few more pics when you have time. I started on this plane a while back and lost steam. Hoping to start up again after the new year. Let me know how the retracts are working. Curious to see as I didn't like my options when I started putting it together, but if the E-flights work well........

I have been working on the kit version for almost 4 years now. So hard to find time anymore with job and kids. I am done with the fuse and have the wing about 75% completed. I hope to finish it this winter!!
Here is a link to an old video I did when I got the Sierras in if anyone is interested in seeing them work in this plane.

Hello all. I just acquired a new in the box 60 Corsair ARF. Will be using an OS 95V for power and Robart 615 retracts. I want to use Robostruts but looks like I have to modify the wheel well liners to do it. Any one done this mod? More to follow.
