RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
@108buzz,
Sounds really good. My Keleo exhaust is on the way. Last time I checked, it passed through San Fran.
The spinner is at the powder coating place for a matt off white finish and I hope to have it back on Friday.
I also have a Topflite cockpit on order. It's kind of getting a bit cold here to do test runs
of the engine outside (-11c) and snow. Oh well, I might heat up the garage once I am ready.
I will find out on the weekend if my design of the eight 303 machine gun mock ups will
work.
Will post some pictures of the progress.
I am looking at the robostruts 650's, but am still searching for a good deal on them.
@Moggy,
thank you for the link to the building forum. Lots of good building tips.
I had a look at the cockpit scratch builds. Now that is modeling. I'll have to give that
a try.
Andreas
Happy Flying and stay warm.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
I have just added Aeroloft dry- transfer "nomenclature" to one of my warbirds. It is an awesome finish detail to any warbird.
Directions say to cover with a clearcoat. I have been using Top-Flite cler-flat Lustercoat on all of my warbirds as I love the finish look. Does anyone know if the Lustercoat is compatable with the Aeroloft dry-transfers? The can has no desription of the contents make-up. Must be Top secret.
thanks

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
If I qualify for the Spitfire Brotherhood I'd like to be 'in'.
I'm scratch building63" Spitfirewhen I'm back in Thailand. I'm in North Africa right now. When I sayscratch I mean no proper plans. Iscaled up a small electric model plan just for the overall shape and I've made everything except the RCV SP90 engine, propellor, radio and servos, even down to sawing a plank of linden into strips and sanding them down to make thelongerons and spars.I'm hoping she'll be finished by Christmas and in the air early in the New Year.

I just finished scanning the entire thread for order information on the shirts. It appears the light blue pocket T shown here is the closest to what we are looking for in the blue.
This shirt with the logo attached silk screened on the back is going to run about $20.00 each delivered. Well at least in the US, but will work to ship anywhere they need to go.
Below is the thread info I found.
Please review and confirm the sizes and number of shirts desired. I told the shirt guy there would be about 25 to start with and it looks like we will surpass that number.
The collared shirts run around $6.00 more each, and he did not indicate we could not mix the order up.
Let me know this next week and I will go back with our orders.
Thanks: Steve
MajorTomski lighter color blue. Pocket tee 3 EACH-XXL

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Welcome to all the new brothers. Good to see the squadron grow.
My Hangar 9 spitfire build is going along fine.
The Keleo exhaust is installed and the cowl is cut and attached.
Am waiting for the powder coating place to call me that the spinner is ready.
Can't wait.
Robart robostruts 650 have landed and are waiting to be installed.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the rotol decals or transfers
for the prop blades? (The nice light blue one) see attached.
I found some pictures on the net of original Spitfire props,
but making these with a graphics program is pretty cumbersum.
I really don't want to reinvent the wheel. Would be nice if there is something out there
already.
