Hey guys, I finished my Ziroli P40 back in October. This is my first build and I dont think it came out too bad. Flies great and no bad habits. Definitely not scale but I didnt want to get too complicated for a first build. Next plane will have more detail. Also, if anyone has a diagram of the nomenclature locations, that would be great. I bought them along with the declals from Callie, but havent used them yet as I'm not sure where they go.Thanks in advance, any questions or comments are certainly welcome.

Looks great to me! I see panel lines and rivets on the fuselage. I am going to start my first build in January and hope it comes out as nice as yours! Great Job!

Engine is a ZDZ80 spinning a 24x10 Falcon WWII prop

This is before any bracing or the functioning scale exhaust

Default Got anymore room for another P-40 flyer?

I will probably add some cockpit details along with a more proper looking panel area.
Holy crap this is a long thread!
So, I recently picked up an older V.Q. 90 size P-40 in the Flying Tigers theme.
It will be powered with a Saito 100, and a three blade propeller.
Most of it is on my workbench right now, and covered with Christmas decorations.
. I am right in the middle of slapping it together, and plan on no modifications, except possibly adding some weathering.
. The only piece that I could get to tonight is the fuselage.

Multi-Engine Guy, VQ P-40; I have one too, but I think it's a new model, not sure tho, I will be putting a Saito 115 in it. VQ screwed up the canopy a bit, but I will leave it like that, I don't want to make it worse

Default Canopy for a V.Q. P-40

Jim, Have you considered trying a Top flite 60 size P-40 canopy?
Tower hobbies/Omni is blowing them out on Ebay for around $15.
I am going to order one to see if it might be a better look.
I recently purchased a Top Flite 60 size P-47 canopy to replace the horrible looking one that came with a CMP P-47.
It looks a million times better.
Jon

Default Top flite P-40 canopy

Just got the Top Flite Canopy, so much more scale than the supplied VQ canopy.
But it's a bit bigger. Not much, and it might work.
I will post some pics soon, maybe by tonight.

My last design. Instrument panel for P-40E Warhawk. It is designed for 1/5 scale model. But there is no problem to make it any other size.

Winter project underway!! I scored a pretty good deal on a Top Flite P-40 Giant ARF NIB. This will be an electric conversion powered by a Rimfire 50CC motor.

The batteries will be installed in the fuel tank bay, I plan on cutting a hatch just forward of the canopy.

Nice kit… Do you also provide retracts? What engine size would suit this bird?

Yes, I provide electric or air retracts as well. An inline around 100cc would be good.
