As a pilot, who registered and flew every year, I was still expected to pay the entry fee, $60, even though I was still expected to work. That was a really tough event to fly at anyways, as anyone who has been there knows. And the majority of the flying time was occupied by demo flights. Really not worth the entry fee for a pilot in my opinion.
We shall see now how it goes. Arvada is a small field. Flying there will be even tougher. WBOTR needs to find an airport that will allow them to host it there. Like F. Tiano does in Florida. Only then can the WBOTR grow to the scope that Brian would like to see. Arvada will be the 3rd club in CO the event has been hosted at. I doubt highly it will last long there.

Perhaps Front Range Airport in Watkins would be interested. I heard they're hungry for revenue!

I'm now at the point of "now what" with my wulf. She's all together and I'm debating on the details. I hate adding rivets but I love the realism they add. Really getting that builders itch, the Meister has been on hold under the bench while I finish this one; to been seen at the Wings over the Rockies in the next few weeks. All the electronics are in so maybe we'll do some engine test since it definitely too cold to paint.. another reason I may get board and add the panel lines and rivets.

Nice thread, there are some real works of art that you guys have built. I'll post a couple of my Axis 1/4 scale models. My old American Eagle/Meister 109G-10 kit bash that I have been flying for about 3 1/2 years now, and my Fiat CR-32 that I built from my own plans.

Larry,
Beautiful birds and I like your colors schemes. Different than the run of the mill.

2 questions:

Is that the TF ARF & if so where did the gun hood come from? It doesn't look like the TF gun hood.

It's a Dave Platt 79inch kit. Not an ARF.

Well, you know what they say... "All FW190's look alike especially when they're on you six".. But it is surprising Srtelemaster that you cant tell the difference having a TF FW190 yourself!

The way you work one over, they don't look like they do when they come out of the box.

To be honest about it, the only thing I looked closely at the 1st time was the gun hood. After you identified it I started looking at more detail & yeah, it's nothing like the TF ARF.

Thanks my friend.. That's the goal, you pay that much for an "ARF", you don't want it to look like everyone else's. I know you're flipping yours, How's that coming along?

Here's one for you. Anyone considered doing one of these??

Things are stalled right now. I'm strapped for funds anyway & I've already bought over $2400 in heating fuel since November. I did manage to buy the Sist spinner/fan last month.

I've pretty well recovered from the 2 knee replacement & foot surgury so it's time to find a job to supliment my pensions.

I need to either make a longer gun hood or extend the one I have to cover the 1 1/4" A-5 nose extension that will make mounting the modified FA512R3 Saito easier. Either that, or set the firewall back. I would rather extend the nose for balance. Keep the AUW lighter.

Any suggestions on the gun hood?

Hey Larry,

Is that an American Eagles BF109? It's been a while, but I think we chatted over at RCSB.

Hope you and your family are doing well.

Hi Sonny,
Yep, it's a mix of American Eagle, Meister, and scratch built parts. It's a mutt !09G! Are you the one who bought the AE 109 already built that was done up in the winter white scheme and had questions about the CG?
I have really become hooked on how the 109 flies so I have been working on a new 109E-4/N completely from scratch. Since you can't buy a 1/4 scale 109E anywhere I figured why not just do my own plug, make a mold, then do the glass fuse. So far I am very happy with the result and have several guys who want to buy a kit if I decide to go that route. Brenda and I are doing good and getting ready for this years contests, how are you doing these days?

The span is 97.5", I had the wing and tail foam cores CNC hot wired by Flying Foam so if a modeler wanted to build one of my 109E's they could just call Coby and order a set of wings for $200.

Lawrence, where are you located? I'd be very interested in an E-109.
