Invertmast, that thing is going to be a monster for sure. Playing with the measuring tape; I stood looking at 147 inches and was in awe!! Are you making this a three piece wing like the original design. What would the possibilities be of making a foam core wing??

there is no way i would consider building this as a one or two piece wing, three piece is the only option. This thing will easily be in the 40+lb weight range.
As far as the foam wing, its possible, but im not doing it, it is just way to much work. The way the anderson design has the fuselage fillets inset into the wing skins so they are perfectly flush, and the sheer volume this wing has makes it not practical. There is 6 cubic feet of volume in the wing. If you use a 1.5# density foam, you will have 9 pounds of foam wing cores before you can even start putting anything in it. That wing would easily be 15-18 pounds without any stuff in it. The build up wing would be that much with all the equipment in it i bet.

I found some scrap plywood and balsa laying around do i rough cut all the fuselage bulkheads and a couple of the balsa parts out for the TA152. The fuse bulkheads took a 3'x4' section of plywood.
I still havent decided if i am going to make the cowling plug with the cowl flaps open or closed. Im leaning more towards closed since i plan to make then functional anyways.

That JU 87 A put the fug in Fugly!!! People talk smack about how unattractive the later models were. Your a brave soul to build the A! Just kidding, It will be the only one at the flying field, though., that is for sure.
Those little nicknames seem to have been used universally regardless of type. I have seen the JU 87 D referred to as a Dora as well.

Me either.. I always thought that reference was for the FW190D. But then, the FW190 is all I've ever dealt with until recently.
It's taken me all day to accomplish what little can be seen. I added the details to the wing, thickened up the wing and sanded to shape. Fitted the wing to the fuse and added 1/4 inch ply to the wing saddle.
Now just waiting for the gorilla glue to cure.

Test fitting everything. Placed the cowl and gun hood for inspiration.

Yea its big! One wing panel is 70" in span, so my math was off. Its 140", but its not like 7" makes much of a difference at this size. Haha

I seems like it was more like the German version of the modern day pheoetic alphabet.
Working more on the D11 then the Anton due to being closer to completion. Gotta find a good cheap resource for piano hinges.
