to tell more about the plane and the two flights
balance point is at 180 mm from leading edge (170 on my sist model ) will add 500 gr to the 1500gr already fitted in cowl to set balance point at 170 mm , 180 must be considered as rear limit : at 180mm model flight is secure but elevator is too much sensitive for comfort as it's not a 3D plane but an heavy warbird (i use to fly all kind of model from 3D ,jets, gliders ,old timers ......) elevator is set with 20°defflexion up and down (35/100 expo)
when stall was tested i put the the model in nose hight attitude with 1/3 throttle to see if the model haven't bad habbits in the worse situation , stall was violent but the recovery was immediate (like the full scale !!!)
landing speed isn't very hight , a little more than a p51 CARF ,same as 1/5 fw190 sist but it's a larger model
today flying condition weren't very good ,crosswind up to 30 km/h , so i must do other flights to see more about the plane
flaps were set at 40° defflexion , when were used 5 or 6 "clics" of down trim must be added
i think it's a good plane , not the easiest warbird to fly due to his hight wing loading but it is stable , controls were efficients ....in comparison i have a bf 109 fiberclassics (2.5m , 21 kg ) : 109 is very difficult to fly and awfull on ground , i'm confidend with the FW and haven't be worried during the landing ; if you keep the engine running there is no reason to have a problem with the FW
no change needed on plans it fly without need of trims
just bought inzpan cockpit and will add a pilot for the next flights (don't like ghosts planes )
sorry no video of the flights , hope to do some next time
ps: i think with a moki it's possible to save weight as with a radial the engine weight is in front of the cowl

Thanks for the coment !
I think if you put around 500 gr , tha tail will be more stable and the elevator will be more "quiet" calm , then the point of CG will be more front .
We wait the video ))

Ramstein44 : for cockpit , dremel very hot and lot of dust at the end .........
Rumen : with less wind (less stress also !!!) during next flights i 'll be able to see if balance will be correct at 170mm , i just have a look on plans , balance point is very conservative ( 145mm) but to get it a lot of weight in cowl needed , with heavy plane a too much front balance point isn't a correct set up to get a slow speed landing

Hello Rumen,
that is really looking very promising . Unfortunetely i cannot watch the video in germany because there might be some music in the back which is not certified by german Youtube. It is blocked.
Do you have this video maybe without any music?
Best regards,
Lars from Germany

Hi Lars , It is just pictures with all stages of building of Chaly
Yes, maybe the reason is the music, I will change the video after 5 minutes and will post again here
