Hey Ethan, I thought you were a member of this fine group of wanta be's. You'd had more war birds than anyone in our Club. 2 B-17's, at least 2 TF P-51's a TF B-15, and the AT6's. As many war birds as you've had and have you should have started this group of not to scale ready to fly and you've had a bunch of scrap But your one good pilot when it comes to the war birds.

Hey everyone... It's a beautiful Monday here in SoCal and I worked my butt off today but got home and smiled deep inside to see that we got 2 new members.
First there's Mike1974 who's flying a beer cooler... well...a foamy warbird... but that's okay, he's got one made of balsa! Welcome Mike (#38)
Next, there's CCFPILOT (Ethan) who's a very cool guy and someone I've always respected! Welcome "E", happy to have you here! (#39)
Finally... I'm inducting Mr. Tony Quist even though he'll probably ask to have his name withdrawn since he's too cool for the likes of us... lol (just kidding, Tony!) (#40)
Welcome aboard, gents.. (please send a large bag of non-sequential small denomination US currency to me immediately)

One of my good flightline bro's, Shaun Roblee, asked me to assemble and bash a couple TF GS Corsairs for him... one in Quantico colors and the other in Nightmare (black)...
The black Corsair has had a really bad problem with flutter on the horizontal stab... It's separated from the fuse twice, it's lifted the stringer off the bulkheads twice, and even after I've coated the inside of the fuse with epoxy in tail the flutter is starting to separate the balsa sheeting back there.. I've decided to go bezerk and glassed the entire section with 5oz mega glass and T88 epoxy.. It will weigh 14lbs heavier but you'll be able to hammer a 16 penny nail into a beam with the fuse...

Hey all.. It's Friday night and I'm feelin right... lol
so... as you know I killed my Meister Wulf in AZ last weekend and everytime I look at it my heart breaks a little so I haven't started the repairs... My captured TF GS Jug did well all last weekend but I don't want to wrench on it... My TF GS Wulf is kinda just sitting there wanting some attention but I've got too much to do on it... I did order a replacement wing for it which I'm going to glass and paint and use a set of 1/5 scale Sierra FW190 air mains on (that's dependent on whether I can score a set from a brother o mine).
Tonight I unboxed and peeled the covering off a TF GS Corsair... I'm going to glass it and try my hand at some deep, deep, tissue massage and try and scale it out a bit... It took close to 2 hours to peel it... glassing should begin this weekend... no flyin tomorrow as someone did a wind dance and it's gonna be gusty at my flightlines tomorrow.. maybe sunday.
I'll have pics up on the Corsair shortly... by all means let the condemnations begin now.. Yes.. I know the plane was nice out of the box but if I don't "bash" it it'll be just like every other TF GS Corsair and that simply won't do for your pal, Frank.
See you in the funny papers!

Hey Jerry.. nice pics of the 2 second flight.. Looks good! doesn't it? that last pic has some serious sparks on the deck.. that's the giant lead plate over the motor in the cowl... 10lbs of nose weight and not enough elevator... that is absolutely heart breaking... I've got a tear on my cheek.
I was going to work on the Corsair but now I'm gonna sit on the couch and watch TV... I cant break that - lol!
Damnit... that's a incredible looking plane!

Wow! Man that's just to bad and so sad. Yea, no flying today! Wind is going to make sure of that! Well at least it's not freezing or wet. Frank, (that was my brother's name) nice two second knife edge. Stripping the covering off a plane that's almost ready to fly, I just couldn't do it. But your the expert. Hey have a nice day.

don't know yet... it may become too expensive to sell without taking it in the shorts...
$750 - ARF
$450 - motor
$400 - exhaust
$400 - mains
$150 - tail wheel
$100 - Solartex (for feathers)
$150 - paint and glass
$800 - servos, rcvr, and batteries
that's $3200 not including putting all this **** together...

Yeah, the zap resin kit is great. Tim turned us onto it and it has plenty of work time. The west systems is great stuff as well..just gotta make sure you get the right stuff.
You motivate me to build. I have a few things to hammer out before I get my next project on the bench. But after the corsair is flown and dialed in, I will get the P40 in the air and then I'm planning on bashing another H9 razor jug with all of the whistles and yo-yos. BIG DREAMS!!
