Wow - You've got an Eagle eye!! At first I didn't know what you saw but after looking at the photo, I see the bottom of the cowl from my Byron P-51.
I will attach a picture. It is the early one piece wing version with the Byron reduction gear. It just barely flew with the original Quadra 42 so the engine was changed to a G62. It was only flown one flight with the G62 as the engine (It was new) had a ring failure. Horizon has fixed it but on the last try, I couldn't get it to start- even using my Miller reduction starter at 24 volt.
However, the important thing is while the plane was flying with the G62, the difference was HUGE. It was flying with authority.
