ESM 82" Hawker Hurricane

Maiden has finally been done on a beautiful sunny weekend a few weeks ago.
The weight ended up being 12kg but on the plus side this makes it fly in quite a realistic scale manner
I've tweaked up a few control rods before taking it out once more, then it's just the repaint to be done in the guise of Paddy III from the Battle of France.
Unfortunately an impending house move means a bit of a delay while I set up a space to paint in over a months time, but such is the nature of patience when building warbirds!
Chocks away
Successful mission

Finally got mine to fly correctly, it was a real handful very tail heavy even on the suggested C of G. Finally got it balanced & with a heck of a lot of nose weight she flew nicely after that, quite scale, it certainly won't break any speed records but it's very scale.
So after a lovely flight i lowered the gear only to see one wheel fall happily to earth, no drama i thought i will have to do a gentle belly land , but 'no' it seems the plane has other ideas because try as i may the gear would not go up .
Its amazing just how quickly a plane can stop with one wheel , it didn't do to much damage just ripped out the offending leg i am currently repairing the wing so it will be back in the air very soon.
I think this plane really wants to stay on the ground

I have the Sierra Retracts for the Hurricane, does anyone know the size of the screw that is used to attach the wheel well doors ? The information that comes with the gear does not say and I have already installed the gear and would be a royal pain to remove and take to the hardware store to size them there. Yeah I know, I failed to plan ahead for that, got excited getting them installed.
