If it's not a warbird, then it may be one of the following three:
1. What engine powered the Bristol Brabazon?
2. What engine powered the Breda BZ.308?
3. What engine would cause a mechanic to tell you to "**** off" if you told him to go change all the sparkplugs?

I think the stainless? exhaust makes this engine look like a piece of art.
The military versions all look like they have individual exhausts so this particular engine must have come out of a commercial aircraft. Perhaps the Brabazon or the one I was originally thinking of, the Airspeed Ambassador. Way to go JohnnyS

OK, now for a new question. Hmmm....
1. WW I fighter aircraft.
2. Single engine: V8 liquid cooled.
3. Prototype: Only one built.
4. For anyone who is familiar with WW I fighters, this looks odd: Not as odd as some, but still very strange.
