Default ESM 50cc Corsair

Here are a few pic's of the new ESM 50cc Corsair that I just got in today. The kit looks pretty nice. The fuse is all fiberglass and so is the whole midwing. It has a 3 piece wing also. It has the 3 piece flap and the flaps are each one piece fiberglass parts....

I am not sure what to compare the thickness to. Its thicker thatn what the old byron stuff use to be. Its on average with the other glass fuses offered out there. I It just amazes me that you can get a plane this complete for the price. The fuse fit well to the wing and the glass wing center secion is very sturdy.

It sounds like you are very happy with your purchase to me. The only reason that I was asking this particular question is because I went to a warbird show 2 weeks ago and witnessed 2 of the 30 cc size, and 1 of the 50 cc airplanes and I found for them only to two formers in the entire tail. They all 3 were extremely soft from the trailing edge of the wing to the leading edge of the stab. I was just wondering if they may have put more glass or formers into the new larger scale bird, instead of worrying about the weight factor so much? Thank you for your reply.

DAMN!!! Way too small. That thing should eat up some sky with a 50cc engine in it. I believe a G-38 would be perfect.

Hi Ty:
' Bird looks great Its the same size as my Byron Corsair,,,,,, get that German pilot out of that classic warbird

A G-38 will not fly that puppy it might taxi it, you will need at least a 3.2, I have a 4.2 in mine 450 will fit same size cowl as the Byron,,,,,,, Hmmmmm No way on the RCS 150 way to much engine
What do they say the weight will be, 4.2 swing a three blade

Yes there is an adjustable motor box that comes in the kit. I'll try to get some pic's in the little while....

Here are some pic's of the cockpit so far. Just about ready to start painting it. I have most of the parts molded. Just have to finish the dash and the other half of the joystick mold...

Those look Great. I will order one today from VQ!!! Any one have any input on the ESM retracts or should I wait for the Sierra versions. If the ESM are fine with a little attention to the bolts I will just go with them.
Thanks in advance!

There is a thread on the MT70 twin over in the gas engine forum. That might fit and it would be nice to have a twin.

Well here are the finish pic's of the Corsair cockpit. It have only a couple minor tweaks to do yet .. You can get a full size 1/6th scale pilot in it. You will have to lower the push rods just a tad..
