Default 1/72 Bismark

Hey, folks. A while ago my local combat club was visited by some 1/72 scale battlers. Like me they are California residents, and they were stopping by to recruit new members. The highlight of their visit was a 1/72 scale Bismark, with all mains armed and ready to rumble. It was an impressive sight, all twelve feet of battleship and several hundred pounds of lead shot for ballast. Even more impressive was the size of its turning radius. Clearly, turning radius doesn't share a linear relationship with scale, because the super-sized Bismark could not turn 180 degrees within our pond. What a beast! After seeing the giant-sized Bismark's lack of maneuverability, the diminutive 1/144 scale BLT (British Light Transport, not Bacon etc) ventured forth. Needless to say, everyone was duly impressed by the size difference. After that the 1/72 scale guys packed up so the club could resume normal combat operations.

Anyway, here are the photos:

Default RE: 1/72 Bismark

We were hoping to see them battle Last August, but a couple members called for cancellation.
Gary called foul, and we went ahead as scheduled, but Derek called no joy, and didn't drive up.

We were hoping for the battle between the Bismarck, the Tirpitz, and the Wyoming and the Prince of Wales.

Hopefully all four ships can make this year.[8D]

We were also hoping the 1/144 guys would come to Molalla and battle last year also.
I even have a Littorio class hull that I was going to fit out. However, I couldn't get a
handle on the gun rules. Every time I rotate a gun, I seem to be breaking a quadrant rule.
