Default Avalanche XTE Motor temperature question

With Summer just around the corner I am starting to worry about the temperatures of the electric motor in my Avalanche XTE. After today's run I hit it with my IR temp gauge and it was anywhere from 158 - 165 Fahrenheit. The Temp outside was only 85 and it can get to be over 100 here in the summers. I live in the middle of the desert so its not like there is a lot of shade in the summer, so it see's a lot of direct sun along with my hard driving it.

I am wondering if the 160F temps are fine and if so where should I start to worry about damage.

160 degrees should be fine all day long.
