Just remember to keep the water out of your air filter/carb,water ruins engines the quickest.
So If you run it through a puddle stop and make sure your engine didn't suck in any unwanted fluids.

What I've done to take care of that is to open the servo and put a nice big glob of synthetic bearing grease in the servo gear area, just pack it completely full.
That way it will be able to keep the water out.
I haven't totally submerged them to test this out but as far as running in mud and wet conditions they work fine.

I have ran my truck through a deep mud puddle on accident and everything has survived but needed to clean the filter afterwords.

Hope this helps you out.......[sm=thumbup.gif]

Water Displacement!!!

What do I win?

And uh yeah, I've "Accidently" run my buggy through some big old puddles that just happened to get in the way. Not a problem.

Although there was this one time when I was at the beach and the ocean swallowed the thing up. Stupid waves... Servo's stopped working then. But after a little airdrying everything was up and running.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. It's a little easier to read than that last page.

Once there was a tiny litle rock stuck on one of the gears.... so the truck would move just a litle till the rock would jam the whole thing. Check the central diferential ...

I hope it helps you

How does you spur gear look? Are the brakes dragging? When the wheels bind is it the fronts or rears? When it binds pick up the truck and rotate 1 front wheel. Is it free? Try the rear. Narrow the source of the binding to one spot and tear it apart! It could be a small piece of stone in the teeth of the spur gear.

thanx guys i have been lucky with my truck so far, so far all i have done to it is change the glo plug and tune it. my bro on the other hand has gone through two steering arms and a pull start. and it was running fine last weekend when we raced our trucks at the track, and it's not the brakes because i tested them and there not what's stopping it. think i'm gonna just take the gears apart and look for a pebble like bananaboat said.could it be the tranny?

well the obvious is the spur and pinions.. check those.. then you have possible clutch issues or diff issues..

New T-MAXX shocks arived !!! :-) they look nice !!! now I need some help again... I was able to figure a way to fix the lower part on the arms... but I need some good idea to fix them on the towers. The screw is too short .... so they get crooked ! Did you have to make any mods to make them fit your truck ?? any good ideas ??? :-)

best regards,

ORIGINAL: futabaed

yes bannanaboat the T-Maxx shocks will work just fine on the volcano,
On my volcano I have team losi xxxt shocks that work very well.

the stock shocks use Ball Joint to fix the shock to the tower... this set of shocks came with screws so I can't fix them like the stock ones...

Hey, Would anyone know a good street tire for the Volcano SV Pro, and possibly maybe a sweet rim that would fit on there also?

Also, What might be the advantages or disadvantages to changing the oil in the shocks (not even sure whats in there now). I guess my question really is how would i get a more stiff ride, The problem i have is that when its not on the pave I run on a gravel road with some larger rocks and when i get going at a little higher speed the truck is very unstable it bounces back and forth from Left to right and when i start to get to near throttle i usually lose contol and spin out. So what might i try to get it to run more in control so i can top it off in the country.!.!

if you go with a thicker oil 40 or 50 weight and maybe even change out thespring to a stiffer one. Or just plain upgrade the shocks...

Did you use the 8 black shock clips that came with your truck?
You can also position the shocks lower on the front and rear towers too.
(stock position is #1 in pic #2 for stiffer ride)
