could be the exhuast gasket but i'm not too sure.. I'm thinking head or just the exhaust extension hitting the ground and turning underneath the the bodie which will put oil on the machine and collect all of the dirt.

hi all,
this is a humble request for some help...
i admit it: I messed up with all three needles on my volcano and I couldn't even start it anymore. today, after ehroof's advices I managed to start the truck but the weels were spining very fast. I tried to tune the idle needle and it seemed that nothing was happening no matter which dirrection i turned it... +the motor sounded very loud, the RPM's were very high +whenever i hit on the break the motor would die +I broke the pull start, I fixed it and it broke again ...permanently [&:]

HI Kemo

I know this is bringing up a oild topic that got abit fire like but , my mate bought a HPI Rush, and i was scratching around on the web for pictures for him so he could get a better idea of it as he is a newbie and to my amazement i found a nice pic of the truck, Now if you know what a Mototrsaver airfilter looks like you will see that on this pic i have kindly posted for all to see the HPI Rush comes standard with the same air filter, maybe not a motorsaver but the identical design... Just thought i'd let you know that i still think your manual is not very true...

i hope i have not put this in any offensive way as we have a few rats among us...
i'm merley setting the record straight on a topic that would be very helpful to the newbie...

Cheers

p.s i even ringed it in red so it's very clear to see... Oh and one last thing, If you look at the white writing pointing to the filter and i quote "HIGH PERFORMANCE AIRFILTER", think you may need to double check that manual you were talking about

DiTi

I think your clutch spring might have broke. This would cause the tires to spin no matter what RPM as the clutch would always be engaged.

ok stock setting is (red) in photo.
I adjusted mine to the lower setting (green)
Now I have no trouble getting around corners full speed with no flipping.

(yes its almost like you were going to lower a truck except your just messing with tow angle) And unlike a real truck your not going to be hualing nothing but ass.

sorry its a lil dirty was out bashing a 4 foot dirt hill - not 1 part broke after 2 tanks!

hey futabaed, why do you have your front tires on backwards (directional tread) shown in last pic?
Is that some kind of traction/handleing secrect your not shareing with us!!! LMAO

Just playing around man, nice to see I'm not the only one that thought that set up was better, too bad I blew up my bearing to diff, now I got to wait to get new ones--gonna try to upgrade to good sealed bearings vs. the stock ones which failed due to dirt/trash. I'll let you all know as soon as I find time as to what bearings fit.

P.S. nice to see another dirt king and not a shelf queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!

thanks for the tip Futabaed.....

Well after i changed the toe in to the lower spot in Futabaed's post i took my Volcano out and put 4 tanks through it and the control was great. Last time I took tight turns at half throttle i flipped but not anymore!! Everytime I take out my truck i get more gutsy but still not at jumps yet(i'm chicken). Now all I have to do is get it tuned right and it will be even better lol. Next time I get it out i'll have my wife get some video.

Also does anyone know a good replacement glow plug would be? Hot,cold? Brand?

Most any brand plug will work fine.. Usually the hotter the plug the deeper it goes into the head.. But I've had great luck with o.s. plugs and Just about any other companies. I always keep a few on hand. Cheap Insurance

hey guys question? i just got my new futaba radio system in today and installed it and it works ten times better than the factory one

but anyway back to my question... i got the thing started today but everytime i took the glow plug starter off the thing died out... then once it was finally running with out the plug starter it would die out when ever i hit the brakes??!!

any ideas???? and i just cant seem to get the whole tuning thing down either/ alittle help with the tuning would be good too.. maybe step by step or something?? i want to get this syclone tune right so not only runs awesome, but maybe use less fuel as well...

This is terrible but I am buying a traxxis revo... So much downtime with my volcano due to parts breaking, I have upgraded everything to aluminum that I can, yet I seem to keep finding weak points, rear axle hubs this time... still going to roll my volcano, but this way i have something during my wait for parts... and I'm not a big fan of buggies...

mmmm whoppers.

Cloot- I too am buying a revo...soon....and well just thought id say that

Blackdog- It could be glow plug,(definatly get a hot one, cold ones dont work as well), could be your idle speed. Check your mixture, im not sure this could be a problem but it could be too rich.
