for that kinda money i would go for the os from tower hobbies. ports refer to the number of intake and exhaust ports on the sleeve

I think the more ports the engine has the higher RPM the motor can acheive.
Les ports for more low end, like on big blocks.

This is what I was told a long time ago. Anybody can confirm?

exactly, the faster an engine can move air, the faster the engine and more top end.

I put a Sportwerks .26 in mine...(used in the Mayhems) it's the same motor as a Dynamite Mach .26....very good motor....tons of power and easier to tune than the Infinity....one other cool thing about it is that it came with three different carb inserts also.

$130 from Horizon hobby.... http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=SWK8085

I actually found it on Horizon hobby but my LHS matched the price for me....great motor for the money.

Toki designed engine = bad. Team infinity has Toki build up the engines for them. Take the OS

OR, if you are good with tuning and can handle a faster engine... sts has a .21 and a .28 that could meet your power demands.

.21 http://racernine.com/sts21.html

.28 http://racernine.com/sts28.html

Warning on the .28, its more potent than most .28's. She's got more grunt than RB's .28, need proof?

I've got a 3 port .27 and its awesome. They're hard to tune though but once broken in they really fly. Insane amount of torque & a real screamer at it as well. Haven't tried the newer samurai 528 though but I beleive they the same engine as the orion wasps, just a different brand.
