lightning vx

i am wondering if the lightning vx is a quality car ive read alot about gear stripping and cheap parts on the trucks but nobody posted anything on the lightning. also if i could do an engine swap from a 15 to a 18. and what size body shell to look at when i get my replacement which i want before i even run it thanks alot for any help

I don't know much about the vx but it's basically the same thing as the buggy and truck other than a few suspension components. The gear problem has a lot to do with alignment. So just be sure to check you gaps.
An engine swap would def. be a possibility with the car. I know a couple people here have switched out their motors with no problem.
The body shell should be pretty standard. I think most 1/10 scale shells will work. But then again I have no idea so don't quote me on that.
I think you should have a lot less problems with the race car simply because you're not going to be trying to jump it (or atleast you shouldn't be) and the wheels aren't as exposed as they are on the truck and buggy. So less is going to be catching on fences, small dogs, or curbs for instance.
But yeah, let us know how it goes man. It'll be nice to hear a little about how they perform.

I own a lightningvx it freken halls pretty good car. you can upgrade to a .18 get the motor from himoto rc cars there the exact same car just a bigger motor. a .18 but all in all its an awsome touring car and any 190mm body will fit.
