just get longer screws and put a bolt on the other end, one of them bolts with the lock nut (the rubber washer at the end, and if u want even use some locktite on it, if u got the aluminum ones, than use locktite on t he screws u got now, unless the threads are stripped.

Sorry Im in to planes and not cars.. But we have simuler problem when you have heave landings. I try to use nut and bolts rather then self tappers, but if i have to, to use a biger size. I have in desperation used syno if the hole is to lose but you need to be carfull as it sticks to what ever it totches and then an activater than makes it foam a bit. the syno gets very hot so will melt plastins no good in metal.

thats what locktite is used for if his are aluminum, than locktite on the screws will keep them from coming out, unless the threads are stripped.. in that case, id just get new ones, unless u have the tools to rethread it

Actually, you can use a tiny bit bigger machine screw and locktight the screw to the plastic too. Works on all kinds of stuff.
