i used my old crystals, but i switched both, rx and tx.. but for some reason, when i put my crystals from my rusty into the pede tx it wouldnt work, and it wouldnt work the other way around either.. so i dont know if it was something to do with the controller or not.. but you prolly could keeping the controller and upgrading the rx

im sure your lhs has one that will fit right on.. atleast the horn, the linkage you can make one out of the really cheap hangers that u get from like a dry cleaners. their the thinnest ones, not the typical metal hangers, their usually white, and the same thickness, maybe a tad, very little bigger than the stock.

it also depends on frequency if rx is 75 mhz then a 72 mz crystal wont work they all need to match

ahh, see i dont know what the stock is.. but i wouldnt think the freq's would be different in the 2 traxxas rx/tx's but they might be just so they dont interfiew besides by the crystals

its ok if the crstyals won't work with the taxxas becaus i have the crstyals for the traxxas reciever and transmitter 2. i guess i will wait for the parts to come in becuase the next time i'm going to my lhs is after the parts come becuase my lhs is 30min away so i can't go there daily
