Default Pipe sliding of exaust header!!

i got one of those round exaust headers. Its shorter so i drill a whole. Ive had it for a while but lately the pipe keeps sliding off the header. Not completely, but enough for me to loose power and the car stops bogging. Is there anything i can use to tighten it up a bit. all im doing now is just puting one of those smaller rubber inserts around it, then putting the rubber connector over it and pulling a zip tie as tight as i can. Doesnt seem to hold as good. Itll stay if i run smoothly but i like to jump anything i see!

Ge a pair of needle nose pliers and put a small flare at teh end of the header. That way once you zip tie it the pipe wont slide off. Or clean everything off and try 2 zip ties. You may want to move the hole for the pipe a little closer to the header. Tha way when its tight it cant slide forward.

Another thing you can do after making the small flare is to rough up the couple part of the header with really rough sand paper, like a 50 grit or something like that, it will give the rubber something to help grab onto, between that and the flare, like tomanytoys said, you shouldn't have a problem with it sliding off.

actually the new round headers are smaller so the coupling is short, you will need a longer one when you get a chance, the stock one will work but it comes off easily.

I think thats why he redrilled the hole for the pipe holder to bring the pipe closer to the header.
