No lipo for the factory brushless ESC?

No lipo for the factory brushless ESC?
Am I to understand that the factory esc that comes in the brushless vehicles does not accept lipo batteries?

I'm pretty sure I heard someone saying that they did. I could be wrong though, we don't sell vary many of the Electrics.

I ask because I read the manual for the brushless esc on Redcats website and it said 6-12 cells NiCD/NiMH. No mention of lipo at all.
