to be honest, I used the regular epx they didn't have the pro's then. It was just the stock brushless. The volcano would wheelie. easy and flip right over.

I had good luck with them. But to be honest, since you asked, I did alot of driving with the volcano at my store on pavement and I know they are not made for that but I snapped alot of the dogbones because of the power and the wheels gripping on the pavement. Yeah i used a losi 2 cell 5000mah

yes much better. Oh one more thing. The drive shaft back then was aluminum. Dont know if they changed that. I am not a big electric fan I like the noise and smoke from the nitro's. Thats all we race on my track. Email Nick at redcat or maybe another dealer will tell you if they changed that.

the problem is, the electrics can get expensive also. Lipo batteries and chargers are not cheap. I already had a lipo charger that I use with my planes so that was a help. Also most people want multible batteries for longer runs. I also added a cpu heat sink fan on the esc. It did get warm but that was beating on it good. I still have the video of it at www.putfile.com/chubbysdad if you didn't already see it.
