1/8" and 1/32" Ply?
Noob to building here. Any idea where I can find sheets of 1/8" and 1/32" plywood? I tired the home centers and can't find anything less than 1/4".
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried your local hobby shop? That's where you would find modeling supplies. You find home repair supplies at Home Depot or Lowes.

Ditto to the LHS.
I've looked around for other suppliers and the closest I came was a boatbuilder who gave me a few scraps of 4 mm 5-ply marine plywood.

Watch it.
Back in May, there began a shortage of aircraft plywood. There is essentially zero manufacturers of fractional plywood now, for it is mostly made to metric standards in Finland and Russia now. I have also found via other sources, that the big red stamp may say one size, but get out the calipers, measure it, and it is actually yet another thickness. I had been told the Fin Birch five plywood was on some boat, coming to the USA, but somehow got lost en route.
Some plywood hit the vendors in late August. Yet others are expecting the early Sept. boat to arrive too. All internet vendors seem to advertise the material, but have zero on the shelf. I was shipped two out of ten sheets recently, and told to wait until end of October for the material to come in stock again.
The six by 24 sheet you found is of little value when parts are about 35 inches long. I drove over to Aircraft Spruce in Corona, and went through their stock of (Advertised) plywood. Found one red stamp on all their stock and it had same thickness noted on all sheets, but they were visably thicker and thinner. Someone sorted out the wood, but to be safe I measured it before buying.

I order most of my wood from Lone Star Balsa and keep A good supply in my shop. Balsa USA is another good place. Michales art supply has A supply of Mid West balsa wood and sometimes the ply. Hardware stores are great for finding different items for building and I get A lot of stuff from them. Just yesterday I bought some new dowels and hex head screws for mounting the engines. I go into the window and screen section and pick up my little stuff for making up my own fuel dots. They also have ply door sheeting in 1/8th and sometimes smaller. It's also the place to buy your foam for making wings and complete planes.
Just for grins take A walk through A 99 cent store and keep your eyes opened. I have gotten A bowl or two for molds for cowles and A lot of clamps.
Parts and tools are where you find them!!

hey xray- I forgot. Your local sissy shop like Michaels has Midwest balsa/ply in all the popular sizes. So once in a blue moon I roll up in there wearing a hat and sunglasses acting all manly and make a B line for the wood pile and get out asap, unless of course I'm stopped dead in my tracks by a lovely arrangement of dried flowers.

Michael's, Hobby Lobby and such type craft stores carry plywood, hardwood, and balsa. Their stock isn't great, and their prices are high, but it's a good souce when your LHS is closed late at night or on Sunday
