1/4 scale T-Craft on SC48" The wing struts bolt into one of the existing N-Strut bolts (both sides). Is there any cotter pin or quick release anyone knows of that would make assembly and breakdown easer? Thanks

I tried to buy something from there once,, the wanted my first born before I could buy from them,,,
OK I exaggerated,, ya have to open an account and have a contractor or Business licence number, Major Pain

I had a Royal Stearman,
I used short 4-40 cap head screws for the n-struts, it took less than a minute to remove all 8 screws
What's the hurry? Hitch pins would look like crap [:'(]

Plan on a couple of hours of enjoyment. THIN sealed foam gasket material for wing saddle seals. Sweet stuff.

DuBro used to make some real nice 4-40 clevises with a screw in bolt, but I can't find them listed any more...

this is a great question, i think you might get more help over in the question and answer forum here.. i really would like to be able to quickly detach my struts as well. i was thinking about something like the key ring splitter that separates in the middle, fasten one end into the screw holes on the strut and the other side, mount in the fuselage and just snap them together and apart with ease! one of us should try this question in the q&a forum though.. i will give you a little while to post it there as this was originally your post..

What I do is to mount the strut to the wing with a hinge - either a hinge point or a flat nylon pinned hinge screwed to the underside of the wing.

Then I put a dowel on two ends of a rubber band. Slip the dowel between the struts, pull the rubber band under the fuse and secure it to the other strut.

The rubber will hold the struts in place, and once you remove it, the struts will lay flat against the bottom of the wing.

If the struts aren't REQUIRED for flight, ball links glued into the ends of the struts work for me. ENJOY !!! RED

Im agonising over the same question and surprised there appear few if any solutions.
Im thinking cuflink clips (ie for shirts) the clip part is a sprung toggle the other end soldered to the cufflink.
Remove the solder joint and drill a hole thru the end U piece to accept say a bike spoke or bolt which fixes the catch to the strut.
To install point thru a hole in a fuse mounted plate and flip over the cufflink catch.
The catch can be shortened as well for a cleaner install..
If the U piece is too long (giving some slop) just push a spring over it first
