Looks alot better than the proto K8T I bought 3 years ago. I could see the potential, but man. Good job Caster, those pics on the last page of the new truck look outstanding.

I know exactly what it is, and shocked that it has not been fixed by Tamiya on the later runs of this truck. Your spur gear inside the tranny is stripped. The spur has a recess in it for a drive pin...

Dude, all of the clone auctions are going for $550 shipped, vs the $900 you quoted for the real deal. I think for that price its worth it to try. That one auction posted went for $500 shipped.

Thats a pretty ignorant way of looking at things. Of course they will charge you a restocking fee, you can't use Amain as a worst case scenario and return it once you find a better deal for free....

They are the same truck man, the pro has the better aluminum parts (chassis, shock towers, braces) and has universals everywhere. They are both based on the Hyper 8, with a little Hyper 7 mixed in.

Actually its surprisingly simple. But, it wouldnt be a Tamiya if they didnt over engineer it, that is why the Avante is still so famous!

Here is my new Nitrage. I bought CVD's all around, sway bars and front brake kit so it can be a real truggy! Maximizer 17mm hub adapters. JP2 pipe. ACE steering 1015 servo and 3PM 2.4 radio.
