RE: Frsky 2.4 Gig Question

The biggest problem with the Frsky?? the upper and lower halves of the Receiver cases are only snap fit. I've had one pop off in flight, found the top of the case inside the plane. I now run a drop...

RE: The Wings Maker Clipped Wing Cub 48

I just did a conversion of this plane using 5s 3000mah with a Turnigy 4250-650kv motor. Flies really quite nice. To make the battery changes easier, I left a strip on the top of the windscreen to...

RE: 2.4 diy conversion

I have done a Corona DIY install and an Frsky DIY install, but on JR radios. The Corona is a little more difficult because of the antenna, it is a slightly better built unit (at least the LED and the...

RE: DX8 Bind Problem

I've had the same problem with some of my Spektrum. They bind more consistently with 4.8v batteries rather than 6v batteries. No effect on normal performance though...

RE: 2.4 conversion confusion

In simple terms. If you buy a Futaba module, you will have to forever buy Futaba Receivers. If you buy an FrSky Module it will only work with FrSky receivers cannot mix with etc.etc....

RE: 2.4 conversion confusion

For the FrSky module. You will only get 8 channels. But I bet if you work out the channel requirements of the RC Jet, you can "pair" a few of these with simple Y-harness to get the channel...

RE: 2.4 conversion confusion

You do not have to use a Futaba branded module for your 9C. If you buy a module from another brand. You do have to buy a module that is specified to work with your Futaba, this is because of modules...

RE: *World Models 70

I have an old YS 120 in mine, it's a little overpowered for the plane. But boy does it fly nicely, sometimes you'd think it's a trainer. Dead easy to land even with cross wind!

RE: World Models Spot On 50

I've had 2 Spot On 50. One with a Magnum 70, which I felt was under powered and did not balance right (nose heavy). The current one with an AX55 and Pitts muffler. Balances better (although still...

RE: Best flying war bird fighter?

I'm no warbird expert, but I recently put together a WM 1/7 scale P47. I was surprised how easy it is to fly, not entirely trainer like but still extremely easy to fly and land. I haven't had it nose...

RE: JR 11X RADIO ON CHIEF

I think this analogy throttle trim is an "American" thing rather than a "JR" thing. Everyone else in the world have had 4 digital trims on JR since 9303 or 9X...as the rest of the knows of it! [8D]

RE: JR 11X RADIO ON CHIEF

The looks of the TX is definately an "acquired" taste.... however, if you hold one in your hands it is definately from a different planet BETTER! The sides are smooth and the weight is just perfect!...

opjose is right, would look like you are drawing too much amps from your packs...rarely should they be HOT after a couple of minutes. Would recommend putting an wattmeter against the setup and see...

It is a very well built model. I have the 25% SU31, the quality is excellent and makes the Hangar 9 stuff look poor! If your version has split landing gears, I would advise you to take out the...

RE: Can I use a Heli Engine on a Plane?

It will cost you one bullnose spinner because of the heli's short crank that will be it! You will also find the the carb on heli engines are better than airplane engines anyway! Do it!
