Mixing Automotive Paint?

A part is whatever quantity that you desire. If you will need a pint of paint for your project, you can call a "part" 5 oz. Two parts "A" (10 oz) +one part "B"(5 oz)= 15 oz of mixed product.

Preparing for a potential dead stick landing

Just remember that the plane WILL touch the ground. Pulling back on the elevator WILL NOT keep it in the air longer. Let the plane continue to fly, airspeed is your friend.
No airspeed, no options....

Bridi Kaos vs Utter Chaos ?

I purchased one of the first Killer Kaos's ( built by Joe). The stab was mounted more forward than later kits (looked more like a "Cap 232"). He moved it back for more stability. Having liked the way...

Unsoldering the Solder on My Cub Floats

It may be necessary to cut and remove the wire used to tie the parts together prior to soldering so that you have access to the solder where the 5/32 wires contact each other.

penetration- regarding gliders

As David Nelson said, add weight at the CG.
Basically, the only source of "power" for a glider is gravity. The more weight, the more power. However as weight increases, so must lift.
Parasitic drag...

Help me decide between OS 91FX and Satio 91SGK

I am surprised at the near unanimous vote for the O.S. Why do most of the pattern fliers use 4 strokes?
I don't think that I could fit anything larger than 91 up front, so I will go with the O.S....

Help me decide between OS 91FX and Satio 91SGK

I am building a Killer Kaos w/ floats. I have used an OS 61FX on a previous Kaos (no floats). While it had almost unlimited vertical performance, I always wanted just a little more.
I am sure that...

Need advice Re: GP Floats

I was also concerned about the "extra" weight of the larger engine, so I considered using the 91FX. But according to O.S. web site, the 61FX weighs 19.4 oz while Satio claims that their 91 FS weighs...

Need advice Re: GP Floats

John, what are "streamline cantilever strut mounts"? It sounds interesting. I had a Killer Kaos w/ O.S. 61FX and it was great (needed a few degrees of right thrust). I plan on using a Satio 91 on...

Any place to fly near Needles CA or Bullhead AZ?

I recently moved to Fort Mohave and see a lot of hills and the wind is always blowing. Is there a place to fly slope planes around here? I don't mean thermal flying either.
