Agreed, unless you really, really gotta have the wow factor the counter rotating engine is more bother than it is worth. I have a counter rotating engine for my P38 and the added expense to have it...

Your set up looks good, the only issue I have is with the plastic ball link connector, I have had them fail under load and I no longer use them, not even on throttles.

A pal of mine built a P38 from some M.A.N combat plans and converted to electric, it flew very well. He let another guy fly it and he lost orientation with it and crashed it.

Your better bet may be a Robart or Yellow Aircraft p38, both are fiberglass jobs and may be the closest to ARC you'll find in a big P38 short of picking up someone's abandoned project

Have 1 test fly on the 38 wanna be but have engine failure and have to send the engine back in for repair, hope to have it back for the flyin but plan to be there reguardless
