As already stated, what you want is a nice small block. A big block is going to add a lot of weight and make the truck handle poorly. The added weight and torque is pretty much garanteed to destroy...

It's a pretty good engine. It comes pretty tight from the factory and is a ***** to get running for the first time, but after about 6-8 tanks of break in it really wakes up.

Your front hub bolts are coming out because you aren't using loctite. Loctite the bolt and let it sit for a few hours to dry. Don't overtighten the bolt either or the hub will bind up a little.

If you want to race your truck and actually be able to drive it, get a .12 engine. A .12 is going to set much faster lap times than a .15 or a .18.

You can go with a larger spur gear or a smaller clutch bell. The clutch bell is going to make the biggest difference. Drop it down one or two teeth from what you already have installed.

Gear it lower. The Rustler is geared to do mid 40's out of the box, gear it down some and you will the torque to pop the front end up.
