Ruckus 1/18 odd servo action

Hey all,
I am getting my kids into RC and myself back into it. Anyway, my son has a ruckus 1/18 and I just replaced the servo with a metal gear (emax brand) When we accelerate the wheels turn hard...

RE: POLL: Stampede 4X4 Brushless or E-MAXX?

First thing I broke was the servo and servo saver. Buy a metal gear servo and good servo saver. Just get the rpm parts now and replace as needed. Front suspension has taken the biggest hits on my...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Where is the best deal now days for basher packs? Just maybe 6-7 cell 3800-4200mah batts.

Not sure I want to go lipo yet as I don't want to buy a new charger. Last basher packs I got on eBay...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I am not certain the make of the gears but I believe they are the hg b2's. Crazy glitching when running them. I didn't have a spectrum radio when I ran them and even with FM I had issues.

For a...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Page 2 has some good tips. If the tranny is setup right it holds up well. I even have two metal diff gears and have better luck with the b2 gears.

I guess it has been since 08! Kind of crazy.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

It's been a long time since I have been on here and I can't believe the TEC has 750 pages! It appears the ext2 tranny has been upgraded but head back to some of the first pages and there are a lot...

That's a nice radio you got there. You will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I don't really know many guys who have gone to the metal spurs that were happy with it. They seem like a good idea but there really is no point. If you have your mesh set right with GOOD quality...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I have always thought it was best to not back off the diff the 1/8 turn. At least I have never done it, I always snug it up and leave it there. It has worked for me thus far.

Staying on the...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Others have been made. I can't say his are better or worse or the same. Testing on one rc doesn't mean a lot to me. I have tried metal diff gears. Raz from this forum tried one and a few other...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

What a joke! I bought three for less then that. On top of that, what kind of guarantee does he have that it will work. Several guys have tried it and had problems with them. On top of that, you...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

This is caused by a couple things usually. If the spring gets too old it won't hold tight and lets the diff loosen. If the nut is old it won't stay tight either. If you didn't put the diff back...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Nope, but the blocks themselves are about five bucks if I remember right.

You can boil both plastic and graphite. As for how long, don't know if there is a magical number but 20 minutes should work. Don't let the water all boil away though.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

That's weird, although, fm is still going to have interference and range issues. Especially in highly developed/populated areas. Looks like DSM is in your future too. If you don't need multiple...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

The futaba is nice too. Probably way nicer than the spektrum. I have so many radios I don't use now. I have a jrxr2i that I technically have for my crawler. Then the spektrum for the stampede and...

here you go

You may want to look at the Specktrum dx3 though. It will cost a hair more than the radio with an extra...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

There used to be a company that made them for the b2. I picked a few up a while back. Some guys have said they have used them without any problems, me and another guy on here tried them and they...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I have one or two, but testing has shown poor results. For some reason, maybe an imperfect fit, but the alloy diff gears seem to eat through the alloy idler gear. Those idler gears are kind of...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

The nitro axles are a little tougher but they have other benefits too when compared to the stock ones. They will still shear pins if you work them hard enough. Just plan for the weak link that way...

RE: bad ener-g battery?

If it is leaking then DON'T charge it. You could burn your house down! Leaking cells = bad.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Hey guys,

Think about this a little. What is easier and cheaper to replace, those little roll pins or something further up line? They may be a weak link but if you start making everything...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I checked the part numbers and it looks to me that they are the same as the evader st so, the alloy idler should work just great. That will def. make the tranny stronger in the ext.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Does the metal idler work that could be used in the other tranny? I guess I could look up parts on my own but you all might already know.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

The xxt trans is different too. If you look close at the evader compared to the xxt and the older AE's you will see that the back end of the evader is closer to the AE's. So, the tranny is neither...
