hey guys, my son just got his first gas heli ! and thanks to this forum/barracudda we got it flying ! check out the video, he is 12 years old, and loves his new raptor...;)

evan I'm using V-blades 600 mm hyper 50, wish I had a tach though, my friend tach me the last time, those things are sooooo expensive. but like cudda says with the throttle jockey you need a tach.

I have the raptor 50, I will be looking for a headspeed of 1800 to 1900 rpm, with a gov. and carbon blades of course.

archiebald thanks for all that good info, do these sensors come with a counter weight ? if you add a magnet to the fan wouldnt you throw it off balance ? I would think it would vibrate real bad...

thanks cuda, I think I will invest in a limiter, seams like the overspeed is far more important than the bogging.

hi all, just got the raptor 50. just wondering is it nessesary to use a gov. or limiter on this idle up mode ? I will be doing hard 3D. can you do without. also which one is the best for a DX7...

thanks guys, I guess if you make shure you dont have it too rich where the motor temp is too low, also not to lean to where it will be too hot, kinda like the three bears fairy tale....

hey guys, I got a new rappy, with the OS 50 hyper. my question, can I break in the motor with 15 percent nitro fuel, then when broke in can I switch over to 30 percent, without hurting the motor?

thanks Sierra Gold! I will give it a try,also I found that if you cut off the shaft right after the prop nut with a dremel, you will have less chance of bending the shaft. but the only thing bad...
