Sorry I was confused as the press release said things like a "new generation of turbines" and "not affiliated" with the RAM products.

Now I understand completely......

Right on, I think they the logical development of battery technogy is towards lower internal resistance, and the NIMH were not there 5 or 7 years ago.

I think those batteries also benefitted...

Ama approval

That's not what I heard on the other thread, although I do not know if a new vendor constitutes a new design, for shafts or wheels.

jchris said the T-500 is a RAM 500, check the other thread.

ARF's

I just wish there were more jet ARFs. but the few they have come out with are really bad. Maybe jets just need more hands on that the slave labor can do in there prisons?

Insurance

The AMA already singles out one class of plane, the turbine jets. It appears to be logistically difficult and the rules have been hard to develop and administer, but it seems to be going fairly well...

Hi Tony

Thanks very much for the feedback. I was hoping to buy at least one if not 2 RAMs and use the new wheels (non Artes) wheels that Frank Tiano is making.

Frank has stated that he does not want to...

I guess what I am looking for is can I use any of the new parts out to fix the RAM problems, or are they design issues? I hope TonyF answers back.

I mean if all of the parts are the same why did...

Hello,

I have a chance to buy a couple of RAMs pretty cheap. Is there anyway to visually look at these motors to know which one has the good parts? So many people had problems but many state they...

Hi WD40

Hello,

What have you been flying then in? How is the flight performance?

Also, what kind of service have you needed? How are things better than others? Is it service or performance?

Thanks

Hello

I looked back at what I wrote:

100 ounces*1 inch moment arm = 100 ounce-inches

That is:

Force X Moment = Torque

Torque

It does not matter what the servo arm distance was when measured.

If one company measures 100 ounces at 1 inch, that is the same as measuring 50 ounces at 2 inches or 200 ounces at .5 inches.

Hello UltraViper

Hello,

In this case the torque is multiplied, but the horsepower is not, right?

Its just like gearing up a little winch on the front of your truck. If you gear it up enough you can pull a...

Torque

Torque is torque, it does not matter about the length.

If a servo produces say 100 ounce-inches at stall, then on the end of a 1 inch arm, it can produce a 100 ounce pull.

100 ounces*1 inch...

BOBCAT servo's question?

The hole you use does not matter, all of the specs are torque values (ounce-inches)

I did not think he was talking about holding the plane nose down and blowing the exhaust up into the guage and the mounting fixture?

I though he meant to hold it and let it swing like a trapeze.

Thrust

It's actually a vector sum, not a simple addition.

For example:

if the weight is 1 pound, and the thrust is 1 pound, the scale will read 1.414 pounds (the square root of 2 since in this case a...

Have you been able to test fly yet? How did it work out in the air?
