i have flown 2- spitfires... gws [&:] and top flite... topflite was a nice one... but it got engine failure in air.. and hard landing coz of lack of speed , 3-point landing stalled...

i agree, even 4 quarter scale it would be a lot of alloy, and it would be heavy one. flite metal will be good choice for smaller.
evil merlin... i like the soloprop too, but like Stian...

watts/weybridge spinner done.. i was littlebit lazy with waxing the plug, so it broke in separate process.
spinner survived. slots opened.. 105grams..
pics with 32 inch weybridge (xoar) ;9...

plug waxed and pva on it. laminated several layers hybrid cloth on it. and 2 layers extra resin added on it. i will smoothen it with lathe tomorrow. and cut it to correct lenght in lathe too. and...

The lockin screws are just behind the prop.. and i will use these 4 bolts keeping the prop and spinner on place. and on the shaft going to file new slots for those second part of locking screws in...

i have readed somewere u have to tighten the axle before mounting the bolt very carefully and use the extra axle locking part (came with motor) behind the motor. u see it picture page 19....
