Have you considered the Triton? It will do everything that the others will do but also has a setting for picking the number of cycles.

Great, thanks for the tips guys. I'm going to try and fix it before getting a new frame set.

If you are going to use an airplane tach, be sure to put it far enough out so that it doesn't pick up the flybar as well as the main blades.

I would definately not recommend that you strap down your heli like that. Go for the optical tach.

I know that if you go to a 50 you will need to upgrade the boom, belt etc. but I was hoping to simply upgrade the engine, mount and fan and keep the rest stock.
