Jets over /Whidbey - Pictures

The first day of JOW featured a full scale display compliments of the Navy. It didn't stop Roberto from doing a few Touch and Go's with "his" A6.

RE: ROLL CALL MOUNTAIN THUNDER JET RALLY AUGUST 3-4-5

Hi Guys,

We'll be seeing you there again this year. We had a great time last year. We'll be arriving Thursday evening, save us the same parking space for the motorhome!

Roll rate Skymaster F-18E

So far I had 4 flights on the SM F-18E and it flies fine except for the roll rate in a full axial roll. The roll rate is fine in turns and during all "normal" phases of flight but it is scarily slow...

If anyone has Skymaster F-18E/F gear doors lying around their workshop, I'd be interested in purchasing. I only need the doors.

RE: Twin F-18 set up

Thanks deweyd

I got the same throw as you (1 1/2" HR and 1" LR) measured at the inboard trailing edge of the elevator. Do you measure it at the back as well? My CG is approx. 1" ahead of the...

RE: Jets Over Whidbey 2006, Aug 25-27!

Count me in. Looks like this will be a fine event. On the kero situation, Home Depot in Oak Harbour is well stocked (they had a pallet-full this week-end) at just under $18. for a five-gallon...

RE: Eurosport stability

Thanks Todd. I did complete review of all flight controls and found the canard ball links to be somewhat loose. In fact, I could move the canards about 5 mm up and down due to the ball link play. ...

RE: Eurosport stability

Thanks Todd. Servo mounting and linkage looks solid. One area that I'm wondering about is the fit of the botom skin of the wing to the fuselage after tightening the wing bolts. The top of the wing...

Eurosport stability

I have about 6 flights on my new Eurosport and I find it somewhat unstable in the roll axis at high speed or in a tight turn where it has a tendency to drop the low wing quite suddenly. I have the...
