RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Dont quite know what you mean but you dont have to use any of the included hardware.

I just bought some 10-32 hardware from Hangar 9 with the bolt and did it that way.

Anything will work...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

I cant believe someone who would go through all that trouble to make the elevators pull pull would actually use the stock tail wheel. Hope it doesnt break on you.

Good luck though.

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

To me it seems that you could atleast defend yourself. I bought a red black silver and white yak from TOC-Extreme over a year ago. I bashed in my rudder. Turns out no one anywhere had that rudder for...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

That happens to be the coolest yak I think I have ever seen!

But you need to do some re-search on current, amps and their relation to wires, servos, batteries, and regulators.

Even...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Cool, you have my scheme. You should paint the Louvers black or some other color, they look so much better.

I still really like that scheme, I've had it over a year. If you are going to put the...

RE: TBM Props....any opinions ???

I got a TBM 22X8 for my DA 50. The center hole for the shaft seemed to be off a little because the prop would sit lopsided on the hub.

Also, the wood was very soft around the center and I coudl...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

When you put the tank in the tunnel, install some clear covering underneath so you can hover down and check you fuel level.

I never set a timer, I just hover down real quick and check the fuel...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

To me, making SFG'S and attaching them seems super simple. But aligning them up facing foreward with no Yaw seems like it would take a miracle because the wing tips are curved.

How do you go...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Any control horns that you like will work well. I like the H-9 bolt links the best and something else on the rudder but it is preference.

Yah I do have a free plane.

Just remember that...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Hey guys.

This saturday I was flying my yak at a new club and on final approach to land, when I was not paying attention at all I flew the thing right threw a tree. I thought the yak was closer...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

Hey Greyhound.

I went to Home Depot and bought a bunch of large aluminum washers about an inch in diameter and used them for things like wing bolt washers and engine bolt washers.

But I...

RE: Lock Up 30% Yak

Yah I worked really hard to pull 6 amps. I copied my model in my radio to another model, and then I turned up the rates as high as they would go without causing binding or harm. Then I gave all the...

RE: Lock Up 30% Yak

I actually sent the radio in 1.5 weeks ago because it would not power on, even with a new fuse. I also asked the tech to check the output frequency.

After tightening down on the fuse connection...

RE: Lock Up 30% Yak

On the lockout issue, thats what is bugging me.

I have a 9303 and a 6102 JR radio, both on the same frequency and I have experimented with the interference issue at my house. It seems as if my...

Lock Up 30% Yak

Today, at a new field I put 4 16 minute flights on a 30% Yak with a DA 50. This Yak has had 20+ flights with a JR 9303 TX and a R649 receiver; both are in PCM mode on Channel 47.

I have never...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

How do you know if they are pointing strait? Do you have to re-trim the rudder to compensate, do you all use some sort of laser level. I would love to build some out of sticks of balsa and cover them...

RE: YAK 54 TOC1

How do you know they are lined up strait?

RE: SD-Models Yak30% - Readddy for Test!

You could just switch the lines, unless of course they are a different size?

I for one could actually go for a 20oz smoke tank and a 16 ounce fuel tank but whatever.....
