Excellent! At least I know I'm not going crazy (yet).

Short answer for anyone else that reads this,... the spacers are not in there. You will need to either make your own out of an old servo...

The hobby store did not have any carbon or aluminum rods, so for now I'm stuck with the stock replacement boom. I don't want to drill the carbon for a set screw, so I think I will just glue this one...

There is a verion of the DX7 that is a Microlight heli version you might want to look at. I just got mine last week from myrcsupply.net

It comes complete with transmitter, ar6100, and 3 DS285...

I too learned all by myself, and do not know anyone else with helis. I wish I did know some locals flying, as it would be really nice to get together and trade stories, but for now it's a solo thing....

I agree with that. I tend to look at the Blade as a heli that can be left stock, and save the upgrades for a larger heli.
