Thanks for the help, but one other stupid thought! If the throttle closes all the way won't it stop the flow of fuel into the carb causing the engine to stop.

It was electric. Again not really sure if I should go Nitro or stay with electric. I was hoping that someone had had the same type of experiences. I find the downfall with electric is the wait time...
