RE: New CNC router cut Motor Box

Great post, Vref. I can see you are up on the times, too. Take a look at the plane that won the Scale Aerobatic Nats last year and tell me if Carden is "coasting on their name." I get such a kick...

RE: IMAC "BOX" SIZE

TW - why don't you tell us how you judge the back of the box? How do you know that a plane is 1000 feet away in - for example - a rolling circle? How do you know it wasn't 900 or 1100? If you can...

RE: Contest Balsa Source?

Thanks for the help, guys. I ordered a bunch on Monday from National Balsa. Once it arrives, I'll report back on what I find, too.

Contest Balsa Source?

I'm sure you probably have heard that Lonestar Balsa burned to the ground just before Thanksgiving. It was a horrible tragedy from what I can see on their website.

So my questions is - where do...

RE: IMAC plane

For a 50cc plane, I think the Extreme Flight Yak cannot be beat for IMAC. I have seen many fly, and they are excellent.

RE: How difficult is the 35% Edge build?

Tony,

I don't think there is anything specifically in the build that will cause you problems. Really, it is just a large project that can get overwhelming if you don't break it up in chunks. ...

RE: New 260 is born

Hey Bob! We fly most of the time at the Cincinnati Aeromodelers club just outside of Harrison - extremely close to Lawrenceburg. Shoot me a PM and let's get together. I'm sure we'll be out some...

RE: Pull-Pull cable Q

Dave,

It will be simpler to install, for sure. I can tell you that I had uncoated Kevlar on an 84" Edge a few years ago with no problems. I always watched for fraying, but never saw any. I...

RE: Trimming right thrust for virticals

The method nearly everyone uses for trimming right thrust is to add shims under the left side of the engine. Yes, this will cause the engine centerline to be offset slightly to the right. But it...

RE: Extra 300 Prototype #2

Rob,

I'm chuckling looking at that itty bitty hatch piece on the front of the hatch. I'm building the 260 and just finished fitting the canopy/hatch. That 300 canopy must be HUGE!

RE: Aircraft Requirements

You are correct, F1race79 - you don't have to have them, but your score will be reduced in all classes above Basic. My bad.

RE: Aircraft Requirements

Actually, the rules state that in all classes above Basic, you must have a pilot and panel. CD's should be strongly encouraged to follow the rules, regardless of whether they agree with them or not....
