RE: Expensive US made vs Chinese Batteries

See it all depends what you would like to do with your setup. If you don't require the absolute power, then the cheapy stuff is fine. 50-50 Chance of getting a good pack. Thunderpower use to have...

RE: 2268W with 4s1p Acepow

I charged the hardcase 5000mah pack at 30A (6C) last nite. Nice to fully charge the pack under 11 minutes. The pack didn't even get warm at all.

RE: Battery approved by ROAR racing orgnization

How do I get my hands on this pack? I want to see if it holds it voltage better than the 40C ace pack that I have. Is this pack available with power wires instead of the female bullets?

RE: 2268W with 4s1p Acepow

My Datalogger is rated at 150A. The readings are a bit off after that. The battery pack looks like a solid 25C pack, 40C max. Is this correct?

At 36C the battery voltage dropped to less than...

RE: A123 Consensus on Cycling?

I've personally vented A123 cells before. The end caps came off, with some brown liquid. There was no loud bang or fire. Must of be due that the cells were overdischarged when it happend. They...

Acepow 2s1p 4000mah 30C Hardcase Review

RE: Why are A123 batteries not as popular as Lipo batteries??

I've charged my A123's packs as lipos numerous times. My 6s1p pack mostly sees 4.2V charges for around 2 years now.

A123racing/Enerland always had advertised their cells to take a max of 4.2V....

I've heated them up to 193F. Vented a few with crazy amp draws(depleted within a few minutes). But never seen...

RE: Triton2 and A123 cells

You can charge them as lithium ions. I charge mine as Lipo at times. Downside is lifecycle is reduced a bit. Not that I notice though. The cells are spec'ed for 4.2v max per cell.

But if you...

RE: pros and cons of nitro and electir drag racing

I say brushless electric is just as challenging as nitro. It's easy to make power with an out of the box brushless setup. But once you start to mess around with different motors, rotors, tweaking...
