RE: Club Enya

I have very little experience with the TN carbs. The 60 CX is the only engine I've run with the TN, it didn't seem any better just different. Hopefully someone else will chime in that has more time...

RE: Club Enya

The carb that's on there is excellent. It is a metered carb with the air bleed used to trim the idle. Just set the air bleed screw 1/2 way across the hole, set the high speed needle and run it. ...

RE: Club Enya

I remember the SS series being shown at toledo in 1986. They may have been out before then. Enya is still making them today.

RE: Club Enya

I'm not sure, but I don't think that the lapped piston and sleeve has a tapered bore like an ABC, ABN, AAC engine does, so there shouldn't be a tightness at the top. I have 2 SS25bbs and an SS40bb...

RE: seamaster plane questions

Top Notch Models http://www.topnotchkits.com/index_files/TN_Contact.htm cut out a couple of kits for me and a friend. I just finished mine but haven't flown it yet. You might check with him and see...

RE: Impact of Japan Earthquake on Saito and OS?

I don't think concern for people I've had personal dealings with to be callous! I think you might be a bit judgmental though Freddy.

RE: Impact of Japan Earthquake on Saito and OS?

I can't quite figure out where Enya is located. My best guess is West of Tokyo. Anyone know for sure?

RE: plane for OS wankel

Sig Cavalier was the first plane I saw fly with a Wankel. Das Bipe Stick would be a good match. I'm flying mine on a Goldberg Freedom 20. Way over powered on it. Plan for 1oz per minute fuel use.

RE: Midwest AeroSport .60

Great flying plane. The weak spot is the fuse in front of the horizontal stab. That light ply just doesn't hold up with the notch cut out for the stab. I never had an inflight failure, but cracks...

RE: Sig Kougar Build

That should be a good running engine, and a lot lighter than the 46AX. It does need a glow-plug with an idle-bar though. The mount looks like an abused Dave Brown mount. I'd definitely replace it....

RE: Help with ENYA 46-4C

Yes, use the gaskets. If they are torn up, you can make them from a sheet of paper. A friend told me to use the scanner portion of my printer to make cutting them out easier. Works like a charm.

RE: Looking for recommendations for an entry-level twin aircraft kit

Twin-air 45. Great easy flying airplane. Mine has Saito 40s, and flies well on 1 engine. Very enjoyable kit to build.

This engine need an idle-bar blow plug. Fox r/c short is what I use. Idles and runs great.
