Yeah it is welded. We cut it in half and added 3 inches. Both my fgs have 4 inches of plate under it that you can see in the underside picture, to keep the back from flexing because I use to break...

Finnaly got around to it. I decided I liked the monster truck too much the way it was but hated how the marder turned so I built the stretch with the marder stuff.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about 3 inches but splcrazy mentioned 8 inchs. According to some quick research the 5T is about 3 1/4 inches longer wheel base...So what amount of stretch...

I have an extra fg off road belly pan and was thinking of adding a few inches to it. But after a bit of research I found that Baja people can get a shorty chassi so maybe stretching has no benifit. ...

With the Marder all I ever did was make sure the antenna wire was sealed out the electonics box and outerwear on the air filter. The guys with bajas only put outerwears on the airfilters.

I have the same problem, I rebuild em, nice clean table, all like I should and it works like crap...Give em to a friend, he rebuilds them in the dirt basically with no torqing and they last and...

These pics are from 2003, prior to the tuned pipe, and brakes. The machine handled bumps well but did not have any caster built in to frt suspension to tilt the frt wheels in a turn. My friend...

Yes I have seen it, driven it and also driven over the owner with it (nothing a few stiches couldn't have fixed) But good luck getting a hold of him. Was a great friend but.... Maybe I can help...

We have a tonne of fun and with the soft sand pit we generally don't break anything. But that indoor motorcross arena was hard on parts!!!

The rampage wheels are much better for traction all around. Climbing effortlessly on hills I could never climb before. I really never have to go rescue the truck cause it buried the rear wheel in...

I run my fg MT with a redcat, the redcat is a good machine but no FG. I put redcat wheels on my fg and can perform and climb just as well. 4X4 is not too helpfull climbing cause the frt wheels...

When I made them I used a small hand held pipe bender and made them extra long so I cut them after they were bent up to the length I wanted. They are double bar as you can see, the frt bar sits on...

The rampage tires work amazing. Like I mentioned before I use to quite often have to go and pick up my truck cause it buried the rear tires in the dirt. Not any longer.....hills I could not dream...
