Baking Soda & Epoxie

One of the guys at me club said he used baking soda and epoxies as a filler. Has anyone done this? How good is it? Are Micro balloons better? And finally what ratio of mixture do you use?
TIA!

What do you use to weigh your planes?

I have given up trying to weigh planes on the bathroom scale and would like to be able to check the weight a bit more accurately. So how are you doing it?
Thanks

Ace chuck n duck alternitive

Does anyone have plans or pictures of a simple ramp or launcher for a 1/2 A plane. I am not coordinated enough to toss and fly.
TIA

Ace Simple Series Race or combat

Our club is thinking about starting a event for members like racing or combat using the Ace Simple series planes and a 1/2 A engine. Does any one have a set of rules or guide lines for such an event?...

RE: engine test stand ?

Sigman,
There was an article in RCM a few years ago showing a very easy to make universal engine test stand. I might be able to find a copy if I get a few minutes. It was a single page and was very...

RE: Thunderbug 120

Thanks for sharing your project. I have one of those kits I bought when they discontinued the kit. I will follow your progress with interest.

RE: 4*120 servos and mods

I don't know that I want to "ring it out" but maybe more than just put around. What servos would you recommend?

4*120 servos and mods

I am starting a second 4*120. (the first met an untimely fate) It will be powered by a OS 120 fc with pump. I plan to clip one bay on each wing. Not just to get a better roll but also to let me...

RE: Aerobird Extreme flying problems

rharrismcse I have been trying to fly an ABX for a while now and every flight mine pulls very sharply to the right! I had an expert (former US Scale team member) try to fly it with the same result....

RE: Balsa USA 120 Kits

I have the kit waiting in the wings BG. I read a thread a year or two ago about building them. It commented that the tail needed reinforcing. A couple of comments about the tail disconnecting from...

RE: Name this plane

Based on the look and the lettering on the side I would guess its one of the Bingo series. They made several sizes if I remember right.

RE: Super Sportster 90/120

You might look at the 4*120. It's a great plan. Builds nice and flys good.

RE: soloed today-- got about 7 flights or more. very excited and hooked

Congrats!!! Its a wonderful feeling. On the small cuts I just use clear packing tape. It comes in a roll about 2" wide and looks like magic mending tape. If you are like me you will use a bit of it...

Monokote Unsealing

I am covering a 4*60 and got a side overlapping the turtle deck. Is there a solvent that will un-stick the overlap so I don't trash the side and the turtle deck?

RE: nite flying lights

Mike50,
Are those lights bright enough to use in the daylight? When out a ways it would be nice if the lights were bright enough to break the dark profile of the plane.

Covering Scheme for 4*60

OK, I am about finished with my 4th kit. A 4*60. I would like this time to do something other than my normal two color covering job. I normally do the wings in one color and the fus in another color....

RE: wheel collars

OK, I will ask the dumb question. What are C clips and where do you get them. I hate the wheel collars because the Allen wrench set screw is never a standard size and always strips out.
