Both of these hulls like smooth water...rough water will not let them operate at their full potential. If your water is allways rough I would buy a larger boat such as 51 Rio.

This rigger is a good N2 class race boat. So I would bite the bullet and do it right:

Neu 1515 .5Y motor
Hydra 240
Two 2s 4500mah lipo's (2s2p)
Solinger hardware and rudder
.078 drive...

Not yet ! Rigger seems slightly faster using the wire. Maybe the .072 wire will hold up better than .062 wire?

My stuffing tube has a gradual and less sharp bend. I use a .062 wire drive with Octura collet. The .062 wire rides inside 3/16" brass tubing and teflon liner. The 3/16" brass tubing fits perfect...

This hull is best suited for N2 Hydro class racing using a Neu 1515 1d or .5y and 2s2p lipo setup.

I currently do not race so "just for fun" I am running this rigger using SV27 power and Octura...

When attaching your turn fin make sure bend lines on fin are in line with setup board.

My strut is adjusted so that tub is level with setup board.

Your rigger will be a missle on water...

Good job! You are a fast builder. Krylon primer and paint is about the cheapest yet durable routes to take when painting.
