RE: Debonair finished

That is a nice airplane! No MDS jokes from me! I have a newer .40 with the C-2 carb on a PBF. One of my good engines. Very good runner on 0% nitro, only dead stick was from fuel starvation once. ...

RE: 5000+ feet video flight

Maybe file IFR. Get a VHF radio and for Pete's sake put a transponder on the thing. 1-800-WXBRIEF to file. Might need an N-number to file.

RE: oil for home-brew?

Try car racing shop. The one I frequent has methanol for $3 a gallon and if you really need, nitromethane for $10 a quart. I don't use it in any of my engines. Haven't missed it.

RE: Exhaust redirectors -- Pros -- Cons -- please

Isn't it a 12.25x3.75, for the 46 and lots of torque? Another alternative is the MAS k-series 12x4. Not quite the bite of the APC, both pitchwise and financialwise.

Just bought 3 gals of the light with castor in quarts because the 1 gals were out. $52, free shipping. I run zero nitro so should make pretty inexpensive fuel.

McMaster Carr has any and every kind of tubing. Find the silicine temp, thickness, diameter, hardness and length you like. Soft is just about the same as Aerotrend. Much cheaper than Aerotrend.

RE: Rough Settings for Evolution .46

Yes glow plugs can go bad after just a few runs, on a new engine. Bits of shavings from manufacturing can lodge into it and it may not glow as it should. This brings up another point. There's a...

RE: Mousse can mouffler

It has been done before with good results. Can size matching to engine displacement is maybe a little tricky for best results. Some rpm gain is normally appreciated.
